Budgens are actively reducing the salt content of all of its own label food in line with the recommendations made by the Food Standards Agency, with the aim of reducing the populations intake of salt to 6g per day.
Budgens' aim is to reduce the salt content of all processed foods (pizza, sandwiches, ready meals, pasta sauces, quiches, scotch eggs etc.) by at least 10% each year for the next 3 years.
