Summer Breeze
Ingredients
- 25ml Smirnoff No 21 (Red) vodka
- 50ml cranberry juice
- 50ml apple juice
- Juice of 1 lime
- 12 ml elderflower cordial
- Crushed ice
Method
Shake all the ingredients together in a cocktail shaker. Serve over crushed ice in a tall glass.
As a variation, use Appletise to give the drink a delicious fizzy twist.
Tom Collins
Ingredients
- 25ml Tanqueray Gin
- Juice of 1 lemon
- Soda water
Method
Shake the gin and lemon juice together. Strain into an ice-filled tall glass. Top with soda water and ice.
As a variation, try serving with orange juice ice cubes.
PIMMS™ and Ginger
Ingredients
- 25ml Pimm´s No 1
- 75ml Ginger Ale
- 1 slice of lemon
- 1 slice of cucumber
- 1 slice of apple
- 2 sprigs of fresh mint
Method
Crush one of the mint sprigs, add the other ingredients and shake. Serve in a tall glass over ice, garnish with the other mint sprig.
For a jug use 200ml of Pimm´s and top up with Ginger Ale. Add 4 slices of lemon, cucumber and apple.
For a variation, try fresh orange instead of cucumber.
Mojito
Ingredients
- 3 sprigs of fresh mint
- 2 tsp brown sugar
- Juice of 1 lime
- Slice of lime
- 25ml Bacardi (or white rum)
- Soda water or lemonade
- Crushed ice
Method
Crush 2 mint sprigs. Add the sugar and lime juice and stir thoroughly. Add the rum and shake. Serve in a tall glass over crushed ice and top off with chilled soda or lemonade. Garnish with a slide of lime and the remaining mint.
For a variation, top up with Appletise instead of lemonade for an Apple Mojito.
